Then we have the island Oahu from the previous game, and Ibiza, both detailed to the fullest, taking advantage of information taken by satellite. The world of this Test Drive Unlimited 2 is huge, it is practically twice as much as the previous game.

The previous game sinned a lot due to the hardware requirements in the PC version, this one is more fluid and less demanding for the current parameters. The visual aspect is another strong point of the game, it is more polished, with an improvement in textures, in the design of the cars, in the more detailed interiors, and of course, in a greater graphic fluidity. This whole concept of the game goes against the more social aspect, where the interaction / dialogue with characters has an important role.īut what would this new approach to the Test Drive world be without an improved gameplay? Of course, it will never be a simulator, and it is far from that, but there is a noticeable evolution in the behavior of vehicles, where each class behaves differently and corresponds to the class in question. You have to win races, collect money, buy luxury homes, throw big parties, collect vehicles, dress up, all in the style of a great American playboy. The game is a global luxury concept, where big cars, big mansions, parties and beautiful women rule. It is now necessary to have cars of various classes for certain races, and licenses are mandatory, as certain races will only be accessible with the purchase of a certain license. The game invites a lot to collect vehicles, we have many to collect, the cars being divided into classes, as in a real simulator. Initially, we are just a stranger in the racing world, we have to progress, take licenses, in the style of Gran Turismo, to have access to new challenges / races. For greater immersion in the game universe, and also to give it more meaning, Eden Games introduced a narrative, a story mode, giving a more social concept to the game, where even goals in that field count towards our progression. There are also improvements in vehicle physics, but far from being a simulator, this is also not the intention of the producer.
Congratulations to Eden Games, since the beta version was almost unplayable with the game’s detail at maximum.īut what is really different about the game compared to the previous one? I can say that it is more polished, smoother and more appealing. What stands out in this version, is the greater fluidity of the game, being less heavy and more “friend” of our computer. We have in hand an almost final version of the game, with many corrections since we took the beta a few months ago.
